"The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (CEB) offers a 50- percent off seat sale to all its destinations from April 9 to 10, 2011 or until seats last, for travel from June 1 to Aug. 31, 2011.

Aside from all of CEB’s 33 domestic destinations, the 50-percent off seat sale includes its 16 international destinations: Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon, Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Singapore, Shanghai or Taipei.

“This 50-percent off seat sale is our way of thanking our passengers for continuing to make us number one in the Philippines. We broke several records when it comes to the number of passengers carried in the first quarter of 2011, and we will continue to offer more opportunities for every Juan to fly,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Last March 30, 2011, CEB flew 36,949 guests, breaking previous CEB records for the most number of passengers flown in one day. The previous records were 36,893 passengers in March 28, 2011 and 34,871 passengers in Jan. 2, 2011.

“With our brand-new aircraft fleet, extensive route network and on-time performance, we hope to break this record again during the peak summer months and help boost travel and tourism to and from the country,” she added.

Last year, CEB flew 10.5 million domestic and international passengers, with a 20-percent year-on-year growth. This year, it expects the number to rise to 12 million.

The third largest low-cost carrier in Asia, CEB flies to the most number of destinations and routes in the Philippines, to the most ASEAN destinations and routes from the Philippines, and is the only Philippine low-cost carrier flying to all three major North Asian countries of Japan, China and South Korea.
